Lukas Neubarth and Thomas Plendl, both of Brownton, Minn., were operating a snowmoblie on the lake and towing a fish house near open water at the mouth of a river when the snowmobile and fish house went in the water and Neubarth drowned. Plendl survived.
A Park Rapids, Minn., woman injured her right leg and was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital on Monday afternoon after the snowmobile she was driving collided with a fence in Hubbard County. Her passenger was not injured.
A Mentor, Minn., woman died early Sunday in a snowmobile accident in Red Lake County, Minn., the Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
About 1:03 a.m., Denise Gagner, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Douglas County (Minn.) Sheriff’s Office and North Ambulance were called to the scene of a two-snowmobile crash on the Central Lakes Trail east of Alexandria at about 8:10 p.m. Friday, according to the sheriff’s office.
