Only one top seed survived the NCAA regionals this season.
UND will carry that banner to the Frozen Four after beating the University of Denver 6-1 in the Midwest Regional championship game Sunday at Resch Center in Green Bay, Wis.
Matt Frattin is a notorious prankster.

But this time, it wasn’t.
There is no hockey tradition for giving out turkey legs to standout players on Thanksgiving weekend.
That’s probably a good thing, because the UND men’s hockey team had a lot of players who would have been eligible for a bonus feast after a 6-3 win over Notre Dame on Friday night.

The man who bid $5,500 for a Sioux hockey jersey autographed by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is an Idaho orthopedic surgeon who recently retired after practicing about a year in Grand Forks. He’s also a paying Sioux fan with ties to the same Idaho university from which Palin graduated.
WORCESTER, Mass. – During Friday afternoon’s practice here, UND goalie Brad Eidsness stood between the posts as every player took a turn on a breakaway. The weekly shootout drill could be good practice for what Eidsness and the Sioux will see today in the opening round of the NCAA tournament (4 p.m., FSN North).
