FBI: Sherry Arnold’s remains found near Williston 
Remains of a body believed to be that of Sherry Arnold, the teacher kidnapped Jan. 7 from a street in Sidney, Mont., were found early Wednesday morning near Williston, N.D., the FBI said. That could lead to federal charges against the two men charged in Montana with aggravated kidnapping in Arnold’s abduction, since it would involve the crossing of a state line during the abduction.

Extradition from N.D. could take a monthLester Vann Waters Jr., 47, and Michael Keith Spell, 22, “restrained Sherry Arnold by either secreting or holding her in a place of isolation or by using or threatening to use physical force, with the purpose to inflict bodily injury or to terrorize her,” according to a criminal complaint. The men are fighting extradition to Montana, which has a death penalty for aggravated kidnapping.
