A Moorhead man made a first appearance Tuesday in state district court in Grand Forks on charges he engaged in sexual acts on the young son of a family member for 10 months, charges that could land him in prison for life if he’s convicted.
The alleged attack by members of the True Blood (TB22) gang occurred at an abandoned house on the 200 block of White Bear Avenue, according to charges filed today against five adult defendants. The complaint states that TB22 is a documented criminal street gang that operates in the Twin Cities, and has been involved in violent acts that include rape, aggravated assaults, drive-by shootings, auto thefts and drug-related crimes.
A 47-year-old Fargo man was charged Wednesday with raping an unconscious woman at his Fargo apartment here last September. According to charges filed in Cass County District Court, Allen Cooper and several friends had been out drinking the night of Sept. 4. The group returned to Cooper’s apartment to watch a movie, at which point the woman fell asleep.
