A South Dakota man faces federal charges in two Twin Cities bank robberies early this year. Forty-four-year-old William Roy St. John of Sisseton, S.D., was indicted on two counts of bank robbery. The indictment was unsealed after St. John's initial court appearance earlier this week.
The third man charged in a violent break-in of a Grand Forks mobile home was arrested late Tuesday morning, according to police. Cody Boulduc, 24, of Grand Forks was captured “without incident” in a Grand Forks apartment after police learned he was staying there, said Lt. Jim Remer.
Two already in custody on unrelated drug arrest Two men already in custody on unrelated drug charges have been charged in the violent robbery of a mobile home in north Grand Forks on Monday. Allen Joseph Ratliff, 28, of Grafton, N.D., and his brother Nathan Lawrence Ratliff, 27, of Fargo, are facing robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, theft and felonious restraint charges.

The man arrested Saturday night inside a Burger King, allegedly trying to rob it, gave jail officials a name that police say has not been verified as his real identity. The man was held by employees of the restaurant at 1416 S. Washington on Saturday night until police arrived and arrested him.

Radio scanner traffic indicated that someone had grabbed some customers’ purses while in Walgreen’s, 2015 Tower Ave. Superior Telegram photographer Jed Carlson said the suspect was on the ground next to the woods about 100 yards from the trailer park. He said that residents were reporting that they heard five to nine shots fired. Superior police are on the scene at this hour near the Downtown Mobile Home Park, 409 N. 12th St. Police Chief Charles LaGesse confirmed at 6 p.m. that the suspect had died.
Alleged bank robber Mark Edward Wetsch, 49, Minneapolis, formerly of East Grand Forks, is accused of robbing the Rolling Hills Bank of Brewster on Jan. 3, brandishing a handgun to threaten a bank teller. The robbery took place shortly before noon. Wetsch was picked up in St. Peter, Minn., as he drove through the city.
Fargo police are searching for a man suspected in an armed robbery this morning at the Kum & Go at 2237 13th Ave. S. Officers were dispatched about 3:50 a.m. today after a man pointed a gun at a convenience store clerk and demanded money, Lt. Joel Vettel said.
The last of four men to be sentenced for three armed robberies at Fargo stores earlier this year was ordered today to spend 2½ years in prison. Raheem Kemokai, 19, of Moorhead, received credit for roughly nine months he had spent in the Cass County Jail since his arrest in March.
