As more adults are using prescription drugs to manage aches, pains and chronic illness, there’s been a spike in accidental poisonings in children, according to a study published in the July issue of Pediatrics, the official journal the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Authorities have identified the man found in a burned home in rural Dalton in western Minnesota earlier this week. He’s Michael P. Jacobs, 28. KBRF-AM reported an autopsy determined that Jacobs died of carbon monoxide poisoning as a result of the fire.
A doctor leading a group therapy session gave participants drugs and other substances that killed two and left 10 hospitalized, Berlin police said today. One person was left comatose and in critical condition.
James W. Lewis has a habit of getting into trouble. And a knack for getting out of it, too. Authorities in Chicago have long suspected Lewis was responsible for the deadly 1982 Tylenol poisonings, the only thing they ever pinned on him was an extortion attempt against the maker of the pain reliever.
