he Commerce Department says consumer spending rose 0.2 percent in July, matching economists' expectations. Personal incomes were unchanged last month, a weaker showing than the expected 0.2 percent gain.
North Dakota’s per-capita personal income increased to $39,321 in 2008, up 9 percent from $36,082 in 2007, and the largest percentage per capita personal income increase in the nation, based on preliminary estimates recently released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
