Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota has laid off 100 people. Spokeswoman Pam Lux said the state’s largest insurer needed to cut costs to offset flat enrollment and a weak economy. The workers will receive severance packages. The cuts are mostly from its information technology department but also in operations and administrative support.
