Berniece Holden
Berniece was born February 26, 1926 in Lake Park, MN, the daughter of Oscar and Mathilda (Marshall) Moen. Berniece moved to Ayr, ND with her family in 1926. She attended Ayr School for eleven and one half years, graduating from Page (ND) High School in 1945. Berniece played on the Ayr Rifles high school girls basketball team that won five State Championships from 1939 - 1944. She also worked with her parents in the Page Hotel and Café.

Eileen May Larson was born November 30, 1942 in Grafton, ND, the daughter of Roy and Antoinette (Compeau) Larson. She graduated from St. Thomas High School in St. Thomas, ND in 1960. Eileen married Paul Siewert on January 30, 1965 in Grafton, ND. They made their home in St. Thomas and raised 3 children. Eileen was employed as a telephone operator in Grafton. Paul and Eileen owned and operated Paul’s Hartz in St.Thomas for several years. In 1986, they moved to Buxton, ND and opened Buxton Hartz Store and produced Paul’s Pintos Baked Beans. Eileen also was employed at Gaffney’s in Grand Forks and Marvin Windows in Grafton. Eileen volunteered as a Fire Bell, was a CCD teacher and a Cub Scout leader. She also served on the Altar Society for the St. Thomas Catholic Church for many years. She currently was a member of the Buxton Senior Center. Eileen loved her flowers and flower gardens. She loved baking banana bread and many other goodies. Her greatest joy was watching her 7 grandchildren grow.

Lucile Francis Seng
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and grew to womanhood at Karlstad, graduating from Karlstad High School in 1934. Lucile attended Moorhead Teachers College. On April 21, 1944, she was united in marriage to David Seng at St. Paul, Minnesota. Following Dave’s discharge from service in November of 1945, the couple resided at Karlstad.

Charles Allen Bergland
Charlie was born March 30, 1944 in Hawley, Minnesota to Elmer and Clara (Kleiv) Bergland. The family moved to East Grand Forks in 1955. He graduated from East Grand Forks Central High School in 1962. He was a plumber by trade but a jack of all trades. He worked at Economy Plumbing for 24 years. Then he owned the Lightning Bar in Alvarado, MN, as well as Bergland Plumbing with his brother Wally and later went solo as “Just Call Charlie” in Perham, MN where he built a loyal customer base.
