The Air Force's top general told a congressional panel today that he takes personal responsibility for incidents in which remains of U.S. war dead were mishandled at the Dover military mortuary in 2009.
Gen. Norton A. Schwartz, the Air Force's top official, spoke at the Grand Forks summit Friday.
It took the Air Force about 12 years to rack up the first quarter-million hours on its Predator unmanned aircraft and just 13 months to rack up the last quarter-million hours, Gen. Norton A. Schwartz told a Grand Forks audience Friday.
Police said a man found dead outside his north Fargo home likely slipped on the ice and hit his head. The victim has been identified as David Volk, 47. His body was found about 11:30 a.m. Friday between his condo and detached garage.
