A former football player at North Dakota State University denied Wednesday that he at one point faked the community service he was ordered to serve for pleading guilty to faking signatures on an election petition.
Three of the 15 people who pleaded guilty to petition fraud charges in Cass County last fall – all three of them former North Dakota State University football players – failed to complete the community service required by their probation agreements, authorities allege in court records.
The game was over for several hours and Ciarra Beckstrand was one of the few remaining people in the Fargodome. It was her job to make sure the North Dakota State football laundry was washed and dried. But she was left off the list of staff members who received a national title ring.
North Dakota State University plans to seek compensation from the owner of two dogs that attacked a flock of sheep inside an NDSU research barn, killing seven sheep and injuring five others that had to be euthanized.
