The 22nd annual North Dakota Museum of Art Benefit Dinner and Silent Auction may be a one-night-a-year event, but acquiring the art for it takes a lot longer, said Matthew Wallace, whose job it is to find art for the auction.
Without action by Congress before the end of the year, the federal government on Jan. 1 will cut payments for physician services to Medicare patients by nearly 25 percent — a cut that will hinder seniors’ ability to find a physician and threaten the financial stability of our state’s hospitals and clinics.

As a member of the North Dakota Medical Association and of the NDMA Legislative Commission and having a copy of that letter, I would like to clarify that NDMA has not explicitly supported the health care reform law. Rather, it has supported certain provisions in the law and opposed others.
