Brandon Roy gave it everything he had to try to resurrect a playing career derailed by chronic knee problems. The Timberwolves waived Roy on Friday, which could mark the end of an All-Star career that was shortened by knee problems.

The NBA has downgraded a Flagrant-2 foul on Minnesota Timberwolves guard J.J. Barea to a Flagrant-1 foul. The Timberwolves announced the decision on Tuesday, one day after Barea was ejected in the fourth quarter against Miami after a foul on Heat guard Ray Allen.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have waived forward Lou Amundson to make room for forwards Mickael Gelabale and Chris Johnson for the rest of the season. Gelabale and Johnson joined the injury-plagued Wolves in January on 10-day contracts.
