The Minnesota State University Moorhead women’s studies program invites scholars and community activists to submit proposals for panels, papers, workshops and creative presentations for the Red River Women’s Studies Conference Oct. 26.
Minnesota State University Moorhead President Edna Szymanski is expected to announce today that the school has decided not to add Division I ice hockey to its athletic program. In a letter she released to the MSUM faculty, Szymanski said the school has fallen short of raising the necessary money to fund a Division I men's and women's hockey team "due to the current econmic climate." MSUM was hoping to raise $37 million to support an endowment-model business plan to sustain a hockey program.

Construction workers discovered a mystery box Friday at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
The contents, believed to be 95 years old, will be revealed today in front of an audience at MSUM.
New Minnesota State University Moorhead laboratories will play a role in attracting bioscience and vaccine companies to the region. Work starts this summer on the MSUM Biotech Wet Lab, which will help train the skilled work force needed for economic development in the biosciences area.
