In school lunchrooms across the state, more kids are in need a free meal.
New data from the Minnesota Department of Education show the number of students on free or reduced price lunch rose 3.8 percent over last year.
“Let’s Do Lunch,” a luncheon in honor of women that will include awards and a performance piece about workers’ safety rights, is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the UND Memorial Union River Valley Room.
