An event to raise funds to benefit the family of former Herald Managing Editor Kevin Grinde, a recent liver transplant recipient, is set for 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, his birthday, at the Knights of Columbus club in Grand Forks.
The 67-year-old boxer, whose fame multiplied with epic boxing battles against Muhammad Ali, was diagnosed four or five weeks ago, Frazier's personal and business manager said Saturday. He is under hospice care.
