Leevers buys Wally’s in Devils Lake
Leevers Foods is buying Wally’s Supermarket in Devils Lake. Leevers, which originated in Devils Lake and already owns Leevers County Market in the city, is buying the community’s only other supermarket from Nash Finch Co., which had purchased Wally’s late last year.

Old Leevers building in for a facelift
Construction workers are ripping off parts of the exterior of the former Leevers grocery store on South Washington Street in Grand Forks as work begins to rehabilitate the old building and reopen it as a mix of smaller stores.

The Target location was also one of the original sites under consideration. Unfortunately, that location was not for sale and could only be leased by the library. Largely because a leased option was not considered a financially practical solution for a new library, the site was not considered further.
