Williams, Minn., residents ask state to scrutinize city finances 
Twenty-four residents of Williams, Minn., have signed a petition asking the state auditor’s office to look into the finances of the city.
The petition asks for audits for 2008, 2009 and 2010. The audit’s cost would be paid by city residents. According to state statute, Williams needed 16 signees to submit the petition.
