Hockey player's dad accused of attacking Minnesota youth team coach 
Forty-nine-year-old Thomas Angelo Tonda was charged with felony terroristic threats and misdemeanor fifth-degree assault. According to the complaint, the alleged attack happened Dec. 6 in Inver Grove Heights. The assistant coach told police that Tonda's son was fighting with two other players before hitting one with his hockey stick.

The criminal complaint says Donald Peter Boehmer spent four years as the treasurer the International Concatenated Order of the Hoo-Hoo. A St. Paul Pioneer Press report describes the group as an organization whose members are involved in the forest-products industry.

Nearly 400 pounds of pot found in Minnesota home 
Authorities didn't find the secret room the first time. But an anonymous tip prompted the Dakota County Drug Task Force to search an Inver Grove Heights house again this week, where authorities say they discovered nearly 400 pounds of marijuana beyond a false wall -- valued at more than $1 million. The drug bust is by far the largest this year in Dakota County, Sheriff Dave Bellows said. And undoubtedly, it ranks among the largest in the county's history, Bellows added.

Minnesota-based company to buy Israeli soy protein maker 
CHS Inc. will boost its soybean processing business with the $133 million purchase of an Israeli soy protein maker. Inver Grove Heights-based CHS, the nation's largest farmer-owned co-operative, has agreed to buy Solbar Industries Ltd., which produces soy protein ingredients for food makers.

Dakota County high school senior charged with felony for sex with girl, 14 
A Simley High School senior, who is an athlete and honor-roll student, faces a felony charge for having consensual sex with a 14-year-old girl, authorities say. A Facebook group called "Free George" was created in response to the charge against George Michael Knowlton. As of Wednesday afternoon, 137 people had "liked" the page.

Mark Brian Grabitske, 57, was charged with eight counts of theft by swindle. He was summoned to appear Dec. 30 in Ramsey County District Court.
According to the criminal complaint, Grabitske deposited checks from his employer, Twin City Wrecker Sales, without the business's consent or knowledge.
