Authorities: Vandalism suspected at Minneapolis I-35W bridge collapse memorial
About two dozen stainless steel letters were found to be torn from the Remembrance Garden memorial, which was just dedicated Monday — the fourth anniversary of the collapse that killed 13 people and injured 145 others. Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak said the city believes the letters were intentionally removed.

Families struggle, two years after 2007 freeway bridge collapse in Minneapolis
It’s been two years since Justina Hausmann’s father died when a Minneapolis freeway bridge collapsed into the Mississippi River, long enough for some people to ask how she’s getting on with life.
“It’s not like you stop thinking about it. I think about him every day,” said Hausmann, 18, as she sat with her mother in their living room. Mementoes of her father, Peter Hausmann, are scattered around the room.
