A 17-year-old passenger has died from injuries suffered in a one-vehicle crash in Fargo. Fargo police Sgt. Mike Erbes said four teens were in the vehicle that slid off the road and crashed into a tree just after 1 a.m. Saturday.
For the week ended Sept. 25 the Energy Department’s Energy Information Administration said in its weekly report that natural gas inventories held in underground storage in the lower 48 states grew by 64 billion cubic feet to about 3.59 trillion cubic feet, the highest level ever on record.
Oil prices wavered today amid new reports that the anemic global economy will lead to an even sharper falloff in energy consumption through 2009. In heartening news for U.S. consumers, however, a new government said home heating costs should be lower this winter than last, and gasoline prices continued to tumble.
