UND standout scheduled to make pro debut tonight Senior Matt Frattin didn’t win the Hobey Baker Award, but the UND hockey standout did win big on Friday night. Less than 24 hours after UND’s season-ending loss to the University of Michigan, Frattin signed a two-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Forward Matt Frattin leads the NCAA in goal scoring with 20 goals in 23 games. Chay Genoway once again is among the top defensemen in the nation after missing almost the entire 2009-10 season after suffering a concussion.
Grand Forks has another Hobey Baker Memorial Award finalist. Air Force Academy sophomore Jacques Lamoureux was named one of 10 finalists for the award, which goes to college hockey’s best player. Lamoureux leads the country with 31 goals and ranks second with 51 points.
