Heritage amendment stands to top conservation agenda 
An outdoor heritage fund that would dedicate $10 million in annual oil revenues for conservation and a push to increase the budget for the state Game and Fish Department stand to be among the biggest conservation-related issues on the agenda when North Dakota lawmakers convene in Bismarck.
This year’s legislative session begins Tuesday.

A Grand Forks man has been sentenced for burglarizing Walsh County, N.D., farmsteads and stealing a cash machine from a convenience store in Minto,, N.D. Gregory Nordrum was ordered to spend two years behind bars and three years on supervised probation. He also was ordered to pay restitution and $1,100 in fines and fees. The amount of restitution will be determined later.

Minnesota outdoors spending projects take shape 
An influx of dedicated state tax revenue leads outdoors enthusiasts to believe a logjam of Minnesota natural resources projects will begin to free up this year.
State lawmakers are completing work on two outdoors spending packages that would pump tens of millions of dollars into conservation projects around the state.
