Sanford Health executives defended a new $360 million hospital in Fargo during a public forum Monday night sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota. The question, from an anonymous survey response, was how could health costs be controlled when Sanford was on a seeming building spree – and who would pay the bills?
Sanford Health has announced a $100 million effort to find a cure for breast cancer, which will fund a new cancer center in Sioux Falls, the expansion of an existing facility in Fargo and the creation of a library of genetic information from women of all ages, medical histories and backgrounds.
