The city, park and school governments in Grand Forks run skating rinks, swimming pools, playgrounds, band programs, interscholastic sports, golf courses, disc-golf courses and soon, a multi-million dollar wellness center. Assuming no private concessionaire steps forward, is a small bike-rental operation that much of a stretch?
Online survey launched to gauge public interest Rentable bikes could soon join buses on the list of public transportation options in Grand Forks if there is enough community interest, the city’s Greenway Specialist Kim Greendahl said Friday.
The city of Grand Forks is inviting the residents of Grand Forks and East Grand Forks to a special thank you to former President Bill Clinton Saturday "for his efforts and support of our community’s flood recovery," according to a city news release. Clinton will be in Grand Forks for the North Dakota Democratic-NPL Convention.
Enthusiasts offer to raise funds for Riverside Park course The park had hosted the city's first disc-golf course until the 1997 flood. There are new courses in Grand Forks and East Grand Forks, but enthusiasts say the sport is so popular the courses can be very busy.
The group will need volunteers Aug. 2 and 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Aug. 6 through the 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. to help conduct observational surveys at three locations in Grand Forks and one location in East Grand Forks.
