Seven members of the Grand Forks Air Force Base are relay-running to the Canadian border and back to the air base from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon without stopping. The run raises money for the Fisher House Foundation, a program that provides a “home away from home” for families who are staying with wounded soldiers while they are being treated at VA hospitals.
Devils Lake firefighters will be asking for cash donations starting 10 a.m. today and Saturday at the intersections of Fourth Street Northeast and Sixth Avenue Northeast, Sixth Street Northeast and Fourth Avenue Northeast, and College Drive and Fourth Street Southwest.
