The fire trucks kept coming. More than 20 wound through the streets here Thursday morning. It was all part of Hatton’s annual Fourth of July parade. The town, located about 40 miles by road southwest of Grand Forks, drew hundreds with its holiday events.

Dear Shirley, Thanks to the Grand Forks Sertoma Club, we are celebrating the Fourth of July today with a kiddy parade at noon, City Band music and fireworks over the Red River. That’s billed for 10:30 p.m. because it doesn’t get dark until then.
