New website launched to cover Oil Patch 
Fargo-based Forum Communications Co. announced Monday a new website, www.thepatchtoday.com, covering the oil boom in the Williston Basin. The idea is to report deep and wide on the Oil Patch, not only the industry fueling the growth that has pushed North Dakota from No. 9 to No. 3 in the rank of oil-producing states in four short years, but the faces and places being affected, according to FCC officials.

Four UND athletic coaches and UND's athletic director are at a UND booster luncheon in Fargo today, and a "major announcement" is planned at the luncheon, according to WDAY-AM and The Forum. The luncheon and announcement come several weeks after UND found itself searching for a new radio home in the Fargo area.

The vacancy became official Tuesday when Radio Fargo-Moorhead, the parent company of KFGO-AM, dropped Sioux athletics for a six-year agreement with North Dakota State athletics. NDSU had been with WDAY’s Forum Communications for 43 of the past 46 years.
