Day care license suspended after infant's death 
State officials have suspended the license of a Minnesota day care provider following the death of a 3-month-old child. Police say the baby boy wasn't breathing when authorities received a 911 call Tuesday afternoon from the Farmington day care.

According to the State Patrol, a 48-year-old Blaine man was driving in the Interstate 94 ramp's right lane about 10:15 p.m. when he saw Adam Davis walking in his lane. The driver tried to swerve into the other lane to avoid Davis, but he was unsuccessful.

A federal effort to dismantle gangs from the top-down will roll out soon in the Twin Cities, months after the Metro Gang Strike Force was shut down amid allegations of misconduct. The Twin Cities Safe Streets Violent Gang Task Force will be led by the FBI. It will investigate gangs as organized criminal enterprises, and use tools such as anti-racketeering statutes to take down the whole group.
