The Roughriders used Cody Jennewein’s three goals and one assist to rout Fargo North 7-1 on Saturday in the championship game of the East Region tournament at Purpur Arena. Red River, which improved to 24-0, outscored opponents 21-2 at the region tournament.
Fargo North has defeated West Fargo 4-1 to win the North Dakota State High School Girls Hockey championship at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks. The Spartans took at 3-0 lead in the first period en route to the victory.
Congratulations to Fargo North High School for becoming North Dakota’s first high school to offer classes in Mandarin Chinese.
Now, Grand Forks schools and others in the northern Red River Valley should follow the Fargo school’s lead.
