A study, released Wednesday, comes on the heels of recent reports that more than 150 people in other parts of the country have contracted a new type of swine flu, apparently after contact with pigs at state or county fairs.
Kid Rock, Blake Shelton and the Zac Brown Band are among the acts scheduled to perform during this summer's North Dakota State Fair in Minot. Organizers of the event announced the musical lineup Wednesday. Tickets go on sale March 7 for the fair, scheduled for July 20-28. Tickets can be ordered online, by phone or in person at the State Fair Center.
The Red River Valley Fair announced the first mainstage act of its 2012 season this morning with the news that the country music family act The Band Perry will play the fair on July 11. The announcement comes days after the sibling trio won Best New Artist of the Year and Single and Song of the Year for “If I Die Young” at the Country Music Association Awards.
Many Minnesota State Fair attendees who stopped at the state House and Senate booths to fill out their annual State Fair polls and others who greeted Dayton and U.S. Sen. Al Franken as the Democratic office-holders strolled the grounds on the first day of the Fair.
