BISMARCK — A federal judge on Monday sentenced the former chairman of the Tioga Airport Authority to three years and one month in prison for stealing more than $300,000 in federal grants intended for a new runway and equipment for the town’s volunteer fire department.
The second of two Fargo men accused of trying to kidnap a 14-year-old girl from her Kentucky school Sept. 21 has pleaded not guilty. The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead reported that Dragan Jovanovic, 42, was arraigned Friday in Bowling Green, Ky., where a Warren County grand jury indicted him Nov. 4 on one count of attempted kidnapping. His co-defendant, Elvis Tahirovic, 18, pleaded not guilty to the same charge on Monday.
