2 inmates still at large from Minnesota federal prison 
The two inmates who disappeared from a low-security prison camp in Duluth over the weekend are still missing. They were discovered missing Saturday evening from the federal camp, which is on the former Duluth Air Force Base.

Bear eludes capture in Nova Scotia by tearing through rebar in trap 
Department of Natural Resources staff in Nova Scotia have one very determined bear on their hands.
After reports came in this week that two bears had been roaming around residential areas on Browns Mill Road in Merigomish, causing damage to a deck, department officers set traps to try to capture the animals. But Wednesday night, a bear captured in one of the large, culvert-like traps was so determined to escape that he tore through the rebars, leaving 18-inch hole.
