Roosevelt's ND ranch placed on national list of 11 most endangered historic sites 
Preservationists on Wednesday added more American institutions to the list of the country's most endangered historic places. President Theodore Roosevelt's Elkhorn Ranch in North Dakota's Badlands, which inspired his views on conservation, is facing development of a road and bridge project that would "mar" the landscape and "stain Roosevelt's legacy of conservation," the group said.

An Oakes man faces charges in the February rapes of three people younger than 15. Lane Olson, 19, was charged in Dickey County Court with three counts of gross sexual imposition. He’s being held in the Stutsman County jail on $2,000 bail. Court documents said Olson had sex with three acquaintances, who later went to police.
