Feds outline plan to nurse Great Lakes to health 
Among the goals is a "zero tolerance policy" toward future invasions by foreign species, including the Asian carp, a huge, ravenous fish that has overrun portions of the Mississippi River system and is threatening to enter Lake Michigan. Others include cleanup of the region's most heavily polluted sites, restoring wetlands and other crucial habitat, and improving water quality in shallow areas.

Faculty who support the idea said they have no way of knowing if a student they are dealing with has a history of cheating elsewhere on campus. Devils Lake water source project likely getting money, Dorgan says 
North Dakota Sen. Byron Dorgan says Congress is expected to approve the final piece of funding for a new water source for the city of Devils Lake. Dorgan says the last $1.6 million is in an energy and water bill that should be approved soon, so it can be signed shortly after the Obama administration takes office in January.
