MacWilliam, a physical defenseman from Alberta, signed a two-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs, while Kristo, a skilled forward from the Twin Cities, signed a two-year deal with the Montreal Canadiens.
One of the most dynamic players in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association is sticking around for his senior season. UND forward Danny Kristo confirmed Tuesday that he will play for the Sioux next season rather than signing with the Montreal Canadiens, who drafted the winger in the second round in 2008.
