West Fargo varsity and junior varsity team took first in pom and high kick, and the West Fargo Junior High School team also topped its division. This is the first year since 2008 the junior varsity team did not sweep their division, as Bismarck High won the JV jazz competition.
When UND director of Chamber Orchestra Alejandro Drago was a little boy in Argentina, he tagged along with his mother, a Buenos Aires tango dancer, when she performed. Today, as a conductor, arranger and violin soloist, Drago is a leading interpreter and historian of tango.
