Returning to his home state still has the same sentimental flavor for Southern Illinois head football coach Dale Lennon. He had a request of 29 tickets for Saturday’s game against North Dakota State at the Fargodome.
Deji Karim rushed for 127 yards and Lance Caldwell returned an interception 75 yards for a score as Southern Illinois defeated South Dakota State 34-15 on Saturday in Brookings, S.D., to clinch at least a share of the Missouri Valley Conference title.

The last time North Dakota State University played at Southern Illinois was in 2005. McAndrew Stadium was then showing its age with a few crumbling cracks in the concrete steps. And Dale Lennon was still head coach of UND.
