This year's "Idol" winner, R&B vocalist Candice Glover, and the rest of the show's Season 12 finalists canceled 10 of 40 dates on their summer tour, including a July 2 concert at Target Center in Minneapolis.
With the concert just a week away, the Alerus Center has sold more than 19,000 tickets for the concert that will feature Strait and opener Martina McBride in the first leg of Strait’s farewell tour, said Lance Johnson, marketing manager at the Alerus Center.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Aerosmith return to the road this summer, and will kick off their tour June 16 at the Target Center in Minneapolis. Tickets are $149.50, $79.50 and $39.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday through Ticketmaster. Cheap Trick opens.

Ralph Engelstad Arena has hosted a lot of big events in its time, including international hockey matches, concerts and Disney shows. But it’s about to take its hosting history to a new level Saturday night with the arrival of entertainment icon Elton John.
