A rest area east of Rugby, N.D., has been closed after vandals destroyed bathroom fixtures, lights and a pay phone. The North Dakota Highway Patrol said the Pleasant Lake rest area along U.S. Highway 2 was vandalized Saturday night or Sunday morning. The rest area has been closed until repairs are done.

Some faculty at North Dakota State University want to create a list of students found guilty of cheating. Faculty who support the idea said they have no way of knowing if a student they are dealing with has a history of cheating elsewhere on campus. Nearly two-thirds of faculty who participated in a recent poll said they want NDSU to establish a registry for academic dishonesty.
