Death of man found in Bagley's Lake Lemond ruled as drowning 
A man found by a boater Sunday in Bagley's Lake Lemond died by drowning, the Clearwater County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday. Chief Deputy Todd Spray said the death is not suspicious, but authorities are waiting to release the identity of the man, who is in his 20s, until family members can be notified.

Family remains hopeful for boy’s recovery
An 8-year-old boy who fell into a frigid lake near here remains in critical condition, and the family is “hopeful, but not optimistic” about the long-term prognosis. Sara Staley, the aunt of Isaiah Risland, 8, said it’s too early to tell what Isaiah’s outcome would be as doctors attempt to help the boy who stopped breathing due to hypothermia last Friday.

Crews scramble to save children after boat accident
Three young children were sent to area hospitals after the sailboat they were in capsized Friday afternoon. Two of the children were taken by ambulance to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center. The other child was taken to Bagley and then airlifted to a Fargo, N.D., hospital.

Grand Forks man charged with having sex with minor
Dakota Wayne Christianson, 19, was charged with gross sexual imposition, a Class A felony. A court affidavit said Christianson met a 12-year-old girl at a dance at a downtown Grand Forks park Aug. 18. Christianson was 18 at the time and he knew the victim was 12, the affidavit said. The following day, Christianson and the girl had sex at her home.
