Controversial movies have always been a hot topic in the cinematic world.

Mintie Art: Opening Sunday in Devils Lake: Lake Region Heritage Center, Devils Lake, will display art works of Cindi Mintie from Sunday through Nov. 30. Cindi Finley Mintie earned a bachelor’s degree in photography at Minot State University and has concentrated in portraiture and digital prints, especially in preserving images of the past. Mintie has been featured in the “Photographers Forum Best of Collage Photography 2007” and received a Gold Addy for Ad Fed in 2003. She grew up in Rugby, N.D., and now resides in Minot.
NEW YORK — Zac Efron has dropped out of his role in a remake of “Footloose.” Paramount Pictures says the “High School Musical” heartthrob is no longer attached to the upcoming film. The studio did not give a reason in its Tuesday statement, but said it remains committed to director Kenny Ortega and producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.
