Assault against 3-month-old leads to arrest of girl's father in Bemidji 
A 28-year-old Bemidji man was arrested today on suspicion of assaulting his 3-month-old daughter last week. Roger Darrin Warner was arrested shortly after 1 p.m., according to Beltrami County Sheriff Phil Hodapp. In a news release, Hodapp said the girl remains in critical condition at a Fargo hospital.

Minnesota man charged with trying to kill love interest's husband 
A Cass Lake man who was allegedly infatuated with a married woman is charged with trying to kill her husband. Prosecutors say 24-year-old John Ernest Lutgen had been infatuated with the woman for some time. They say he told her that her husband was an unfit spouse and father, and asked her to help kill him. The woman told investigators she repeatedly turned him down.

Minnesota man confesses to shooting Cass Lake area dogs earlier this week 
A man suspected of killing two dogs in the Cass Lake area has been identified and could be charged next week, a Hubbard County sheriff’s deputy said Friday. Deputy Bill Schlag said he identified a suspect on Thursday night and talked to the man, who confessed to shooting dogs Monday.
