AE2S (Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc.) has hired Trevor Tharaldson as an Engineer in Training in the firm’s Minot, ND office. He is part of AE2S’ Municipal Group and provides Resident Project Representative (RPR) services in Crosby, ND. He will also work on utility improvement projects which will be constructed in 2014 in Crosby, Surrey, and Minot.
Vickie Anderson celebrates 25 years with the city. Anderson is a Team Leader at the 9-1-1 center. Originally from Grand Forks, she is a Red River High School graduate.
Donnie Bryant is a 30 year veteran with the city. Originally from Luverne, AL, Bryant is a Corporal with the Police Department.
AE2S (Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc.) has hired Bryan Kaemingk as an Engineer in Training in the firm's Bismarck, ND office. He is part of AE2S' Municipal Group and responsible for water/wastewater treatment plant and utility design, implementation of design, and construction observation duties.
The College of Business and Public Administration is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Patrick O’Neill, as the Associate Dean of Administration and Dr. Jason Jensen, as the Associate Dean of Academics. They will join Dean Dennis Elbert on the administrative leadership team for the College of Business and Public Administration (CoBPA).

The Red River Regional Council and Red River Valley Community Action recently received a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture's North Dakota Rural Development office to explore the feasibility of extending the growing season for greenhouse produce.
The Mazen-LeeLee Diabetes Center has recently
renewed its status as an accredited diabetes education
program by the American Association of Diabetes
Educators. This allows residents in and around Grand
Forks and the Red River Valley increased access to critical
diabetes education services.
Diabetes education as a collaborative process through
which people with or at risk for diabetes gain the
knowledge and skills needed to modify behavior and
successfully self-manage the disease and its related
conditions. It is provided by diabetes educators.
The Mazen-LeeLee Diabetes Center is located at The
Kidney and Hypertension Center at1451 44th Avenue
South, Suite 112D (701-732-2821). The diabetes team
includes Abby West, RD LN (Dietitian- Coordinator), Julie
K. Vorachek RN BSN (Manager- Educator) and Dr. Khaled
Rabadi (Medical Director).
"Trends show that diabetes education is moving out of
the hospital and into the community, so AADE's
accreditation program was created, in part, to encourage
diabetes education where the patient is seeking care,"
said Leslie E. Kolb, RN, BSN, MBA, Program Director,
Diabetes Education Accreditation Program. "The
Mazen-LeeLee Diabetes Center is exactly the type of
program we envisioned when we set up our accreditation
program in 2009."
On September 13, 2013, the North Dakota Dental Hygienists’ Association held their 2013 Fall Annual Session at the Hilton Garden Inn, Fargo, North Dakota. The NDDHA members selected officers to serve on the 2013-2014 Board of Trustees.
