Authorities said Monday they have charged a person in last month's fatal shooting of a suburban Minneapolis home daycare provider and her parents. Brooklyn Park police did not disclose details about the arrest or the suspect, but planned to release further information at a news conference later Monday.
Officers were called to a residence in Brooklyn Center shortly before midnight Tuesday. An adult female had been stabbed and was pronounced dead at the scene. A man at the residence was arrested. Police say they're not looking for any other suspects.
The owner of a Brooklyn Park home health care agency has been sentenced to two years in prison for defrauding the Medicaid program of more than $650,000. Fifty-two-year-old John Momoh admitted submitting false claims from May 2007 to March 2008, billing Medicaid for personal care services. Momoh pleaded guilty to one count of health care fraud as part of a plea agreement.
