Corey Stevens and his band will be in Grand Forks Saturday night to play the first of three Blues on the Red concerts of the summer. The concert will be from 6 to 10 p.m. in Town Square with Stevens as headliner. The opening band will be the Shufflecats. The concert is free.

Minneapolis band Davina & The Vagabonds will be next headliner for Blues on the Red series Davina & the Vagabonds, the Minneapolis band set to headline Saturday’s Blues on the Red concert, has a fun, sassy and soulful style that has found a welcome everywhere from dive bars to the big blues festivals here and in Europe.
Blues on the Red fetes Everett Smithson Band The Everett Smithson Band is known for playing an eclectic assortment of music. Or, as one reviewer described it, “Johnny Cash meets Led Zeppelin in New Orleans to have a hillbilly hoedown.”
Grand Forks has always had a large group of blues music fans, and two events Saturday will give them and any other live music lover a chance to enjoy some world-class musicians for free. Plus, the events will be outdoors and give people the chance to enjoy what could be one of the last warm weekends of the year.
Another Blues on the Red concert is on tap Saturday in GF Two well-regarded blues acts from the Twin Cities will ring out their music from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday in Grand Forks Town Square as part of another free performance in the Blues on the Red series.

The second of this year’s three free blues concerts is Saturday in Town Square Cool Disposition and the Dee Miller Band, two acts from the Minneapolis area, will play for Saturday’s Blues on the Red Concert from 5 to 10 p.m. in Grand Forks Town Square.
