A Utah woman gave birth to a healthy set of quintuplets over the weekend with help from a team of eight doctors, one anesthesiologist and dozens of nurses ensuring the mother and the tiny babies survived.

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are the proud parents of newborn twins. Reps for the acting couple confirm Paquin gave birth to the babies a few weeks early but say they're in good health and their parents "are overjoyed."
I have long believed that pregnant women get excellent care from an obstetrician/nurse-midwife team. The obstetrician provides specialized care if needed, the nurse-midwife provides care and focuses on education about pregnancy, labor and delivery, breastfeeding, etc.
Diane Aulger was about two weeks from her delivery date when she and her husband decided there was no time to wait: Mark Aulger had only days to live, and he wanted to see his child. Diane Aulger had her labor induced and gave birth to their daughter on Jan. 18. When tiny Savannah was placed in his arms, Mark Aulger "cried, and he just looked very sad," his wife said. He died five days later from complications related to his cancer treatment.
