Man dies after fall at Bemidji lumber mill
A Grand Rapids man died Saturday after a fall at a Bemidji lumber mill. According to a press release from the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, Mitchell Harthan, 23, of Grand Rapids was pronounced dead on Saturday at the Potlatch Lumber Mill located in northern Hubbard County.

Suzanne Marie Lofgren, 50, of Bemidji, pleaded guilty Wednesday in Beltrami County District Court to felony theft-diverting corporate property.

A former treasurer of the Bemidji Masonic Lodge pleaded guilty Tues-day to swindling more than $45,000 from the fraternal organization. Nathan Arlo Pochardt, 40, of Bemidji entered the plea in Beltrami County District Court to gross misdemeanor theft.

The region is about to have two lifeflight services. Sanford Bemidji Medical Center has established a Sanford LifeFlight base at the Nary airport to transport patients between hospitals and respond to the scene of medical emergencies.
