Batman's crime-ridden gritty fictional metropolis of Gotham City will be the focus of a new Fox drama, the latest comic book-inspired series to tap superheroes' ability to draw audiences to both film and TV.
Social media recently went feral with the announcement of Ben Affleck as the new Batman. I’ll admit I was a part of this rabid mob. After much thought and discussion I have rebuffed slightly. The news got me thinking about all of the different actors to don the Bat cowl.
"Man of Steel" director Zack Snyder announced Saturday at San Diego's Comic-Con that he was making another Superman film and that it will include Batman — the first time the two superheroes will be united on the big screen.
The collection includes 44 of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide's list of top 100 issues from comics' golden age. "The scope of this collection is, from a historian's perspective, dizzying," said J.C. Vaughn, associate publisher of Overstreet.
Dark Knight indeed. Christian Bale can be heard in newly surfaced audio delivering a long, profanity-laced verbal thrashing to a cinematographer and anyone who tried to calm him down on the set of the upcoming movie “Terminator Salvation.”
