Along with my regular day-to-day duties at Good Samaritan Society — Larimore, I help with a variety of events that the center holds. I enjoy the people I’m working with, get to visit with the people who attend the events and help serve — and eat — good food so it’s definitely one of the perks of my job.
She bought 19 pints of cream at Hugo’s right before Thanksgiving. And that was the beginning of the annual marathon by Ilene Yanish, otherwise known as “the krumkake queen” of Fisher, Minn. She has a goal of making 3,000 of the delicate cone shaped Norwegian cookies before Christmas.
Mike and Terri Karsten really like good bread. In fact, they like bread so well they built a wood-fired brick oven in their backyard just to bake really good bread. And really good pizza. And the occasional Thanksgiving turkey.
